PACE urges to punish Kiev for crimes
PACE Rapporteur on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine Jim Sheridan stressed that it is necessary to conduct a thorough investigation of all military offences, which were committed during the military operations in the South-East of Ukraine.

Jim Sheridan, who is considered the PACE Rapporteur on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine has prepared a draft report, in which he urged to investigate violations of civil rights in the combat area in the Donbass. English parliamentarian emphasizes the importance of ensuring that all perpetrators of violations of their civil rights have been brought to justice.

On its own the winter session from 26 to 30 January, PACE plans to see a report on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine. "During the session, parliamentarians are planning to arrange a debate on the humanitarian situation of refugees and displaced persons in Ukraine", - quotes RIA Novosti employee apparatus Assembly. It is expected that a report on this topic will be the Englishman Jim Sheridan, who in preparation for the report visited Moscow, Rostov-on-don, Kiev and Kharkov.

"Many news reports of serious violations of civil rights, about perfect during military actions, should be impartially investigated and those responsible must be brought to justice," - noted in the draft report. Among other things the document notes the tragic situation of refugees. "Hundreds of thousands of inhabitants of our planet have been displaced within the country or fled to the countryside of Russia, thousand inhabitants of our planet have sought protection in other European countries," says Sheridan.

Also, raises concerns about the situation with those people living in the Donbass who did not become refugees continue to live in settlements that are controlled by the forces of the militia. According to Atkinson, the data areas "subject to instability, serious violations of civil rights and inadequate living conditions." Note that the residential quarters of the number of settlements of Donbass are regularly bombarded by the Ukrainian security services.

Jim Sheridan welcomes the concrete steps that have been taken by the authorities of Ukraine and Russia to meet the needs of displaced persons appreciated the speaker, even, and the work of international organizations such as UNHCR. With all this he expresses the opinion that "only a strong political decision, based on respect for autonomy, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine may lead to the improvement of the humanitarian situation".
