Researchers from the Ohio Institute learned that the representatives of the stronger sex, which is more likely to spread selfi social network, show a higher predisposition to psychopathy and narcissism than those who makes this less likely.
Researchers studied 800 representatives of the stronger sex aged 18 to 40 years. The men filled out a questionnaire, which helped to assess their behavior when placing a photo of themselves in social networks. In addition, participants answered a series of questions that help to evaluate the anti-social behaviour and the level of semiobjective. Results all participants were within the normal range, but revealed a curious trend. The representatives of the stronger sex, who put a lot of selfi, are closer to the edge threshold, exceeding the average characteristics.
When all this became clear smooth link between narcissism and edit your own photo before they publish. Representatives of the stronger sex, editing, selfi demonstrate a higher propensity for narcissism, but with all this editing is not related to psychopathy, says the Creator of the study. "This has a specific meaning, because psychopathy is characterized by impulsiveness. They're going to do photo and immediately put it in the net. They want to see themselves. They do not want to spend time editing", quoted Hi-Tech.mail.ru a scientist.
The researchers intend to continue research on this topic because the question of semiobjective and its relationship to behavior in the Network is still important. People tend to publish a lot of selfi, and get a large number of likes and comments that inspires them to publish new images. All interested in impresentable their best side, even online, but how exactly is this impresentable - has much to tell about the person.
