Coca-Cola has announced the acquisition of a 100% stake in Russia`s Aqua-Vision from Britain`s Health Tech Corporation Limited for 191.5 million euros ($250 million), the companies said Thursday. The takeover will enable Coca-Cola to increase its production and presence in Russia. The deal must first be approved by relevant regulators in Russia and also envisages the acquisition of Aqua-Vision trademarks united under the parent brand of botaniQ. Aqua-Vision is located in the Istra District of the Moscow Region. The company produces a wide range of non-alcoholic beverages, including juices, nectars, drinking water and ice tea. Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company S.A. is one of the world`s largest bottlers of non-alcoholic beverages, serving 550 million in 28 countries. Health Tech Corporation was registered on the island of Guernsey, U.K., in 2001. The holding`s subsidiaries are active on the biotechnology market, and health and lifestyle products in 19 countries.
