Dubai company plans to build sugar plant in Krasnodar Territory
Al Khaleej Sugar Co. (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) is planning to build a sugar plant in Krasnodar Territory, a REGNUM correspondent was told at the press office of the Krasnodar Territory Agriculture Department.

"The company proposed to construct a refinery with estimated capacity of 15,000 tons of sugar beet per day in Kushchevsky District, in case the plant is provided with sugar beet from fields in 60 km away from the plant," a spokesman for the agriculture department said.
Administration of the district submitted documents on three investment grounds for consideration to Al Khaleej Sugar. According to the spokesman, the guests were informed on the opportunities provided in the district and nearby areas of Krasnodar Territory and Rostov Region regarding growing of sugar beet. According to the head of the municipal administration, the area around the planned sugar plant can produce up to 2.5-3mn tons of raw beet.
Al Khaleej Sugar is expected to examine the proposals within two months and make a final decision after it.
