The total expenditures for reburial of Soviet Soldiers and repaying damage caused by April riots in Tallinn and Ida-Viru district are expected to be about 73mn kroon (about $4.6mn euro), Eesti Paevaleht newspaper reports. The money will be taken from the governmental reserve. As the paper informs, the government decided to add to 20mn kroon earlier allotted by the Estonian Finance Ministry eight more million will be added to compensate for the damage caused by the riots. The reburial, police operation and guarding of the diplomatic missions in Moscow and St. Petersburg have already cost 31mn kroon. As REGNUM reported earlier, on April 26, after police dispersed a crowd of people protesting against dismantling the Bronze Soldier Monument, and mass riots started in Tallinn. On the night of April 27, the monument was dismantled. On April 26-28, over 1,000 people were detained, a Russian citizen died of a knife wound. On May 8, the Bronze Soldier Monument was unveiled on a new site, in the Military Cemetery. On April 28, Harju District Court sanctioned arrest of Dmitry Linter, Maxim Reva and Mark Siryk on suspicion of instigating the mass riots.
