Tajik President Emomali Rakhmonov has signed a resolution to break off one-sidedly the agreement on long-term cooperation between the Tajik government and RUSAL dated back to October 16, 2004, because the company failed to fulfill its obligations. As the press office of the president says, the Ministries for Economic Development and Trade, Energy and Industry together with related ministries and governmental agencies are instructed to take action to implement the resolution. The Tajik Foreign Ministry is told to inform the Russian side about the resolution. As it was reported earlier, the government has also signed a resolution to establish Rogun Hydroelectric Power Station Joint-Stock Company.
