Safina and Dechy will have to face a Chinese Taipei duo Yung-Jan Chan and Chia-Jung Chuang. The Chinese pair inflicted a 6:2, 7:6 (7:5) defeat upon Agnes Szavay of Hungary and Vladimir Uhrilova representing the Czech Republic to make the final.
