Czech ice hockey Elite League`s Vitkovice coach Miroslav Frycer told CTK Friday he is not enthusiastic about goalie Milan Hnilicka`s departure for the leading club of Russia`s league, Ufa, that writes about it on its website Friday. The reason is that Hnilicka, a goalie of the Czech national team, will be replaced in Liberec by Marek Pinc whom Vitkovice had loaned until the season`s end. Hnilicka, currently playing with the Czech team the Karjala Cup in Helsinki, would not comment on his new contract, saying journalists will learn more at a press conference on Monday. Hnilicka, 34, played abroad for the last time for NHL`s Los Angeles in the 2003-04 season. He then returned to the Czech Republic, but not to Sparta for which he played until 1999 when he left for America for the second time, but to Liberec which he helped bring among the best Czech teams of the past few years. Hnilicka played in lower competitions abroad in 1992-94 already. During his second stay overseas, he played for New York Rangers and Atlanta. With the exception of the United States he has never played abroad.
