Penguin escaped from the flood in Azerbaijan
In Tbilisi today are animals who had survived the devastating floods that have affected the local zoo. However the feat of the African penguin was struck by the professionals. Having escaped during the flood, the animal swam to Azerbaijan.

African penguin that escaped from the zoo in Tbilisi during the flood, found in the river near the red sea in the Georgian-Azerbaijani border. "15 minutes ago we were called and told that red bridge is floating penguin. He is alive. I left the group that will take him in Tbilisi", - quotes "Georgia-Online" employee of the press service of the zoo.

In early July 2014 administration of the English Living Coasts zoo, which is located in the town of Torquay, presented Tbilisi African penguins. Later in the Georgian zoo was penguinarium. It has built a large pool and sandy beach. Inter alia on the ground of the enclosure built small caves and nests of clay.

On the night of June 14 was held in Tbilisi powerful hailstorm that resulted in devastating flooding of the metropolis. In the epicenter of events was a local zoo, which suffered greatly after the flood. Water completely destroyed the lower part of the zoo. Some of the animals escaped to the city. Some of them, the authorities of the metropolis were forced to shoot, so they do not hurt local inhabitants. The result of the disaster killed more than 300 animals.

On 15 June it became known that the zoo workers had dug up under a two-foot layer of dirt miraculously survived a wild boar and crocodile. Animals are washed and placed in secure enclosures. However, as noted by the management of the zoo, to clear the area of dirt will be extremely long. On 16 June it became known that a new shelter for animals will be built on the terrain of the Tbilisi sea.
