Legendary newsreel "Wick" will revive
The TV channel REN TV has filed with Rospatent 2 applications for registration of trademarks "Wick". Rather, it is about the restoration of the famous satirical newsreel.

According to the international classification of goods and services specified in the application REN TV trademark belongs to the class of "38" and 41" - "telecommunications" and "entertainment". In the first case, the channel asks to register the logo of "Wick" in the version in which it was used during Soviet times, 2nd - a modern version of the logo. Followers of the TV channel refused to disclose the component parts of the project, announcing that he "is at the initial stage". Currently Rospatent carries out a formal examination - checking for completeness of submitted documents and payment of the fee. Later the examination will be conducted on the merits, the result of which will be clear whether similar characters or filed application with an earlier priority.

In Rospatent add that I don't know yet what happened with the logo of an old newsreel "Wick". "As rights holders did with this character is not clear. Maybe he no longer works, and maybe realized it", - added in Department. It is assumed that the operation audit of the trademark on the identity and similarity will last 12 to 14 months, then the channel will officially be able to restart the project.

Director Alexander Mitta, who directed several episodes of "Wick", welcomes the idea of rebuilding the newsreel and believes that his release would successfully cope natives of Comedy Club.

"The wick" - Union satirical newsreel, which set as a goal of his own struggle against negative phenomena of Russian life. The ideological inspirer and the main editor of the magazine for a long time was Sergei Mikhalkov. From 1962 to 1991 editions of the newsreel "Wick" was shown before showings. In 2004, the magazine was revived. Almost to 2008 he went out in the TV format, while preserving one's own satirical tendency.
