Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has said manager Harry Redknapp is counting on him to score 20 goals next season. Recent reports in the British media suggested that Redknapp was looking to sell the Russian international in the close season. The rumors grew more frequent after Pavlyuchenko stormed off the pitch into the dressing room after being substituted during Saturday`s 2-1 win over Manchester City. "We had a good talk," Pavlyuchenko, whose performances have been very much hit and miss of late, told Sport Express. "Redknapp said that he understood it was impossible to go through such a long season as mine without a drop in form." The striker has been playing football almost continuously since March 2008, the start of the last Russian season. He also took part in Euro 2008, and has appeared 35 times this season for Tottenham. "He said that he was relying on me, and that I had to score 20 goals next season. I told him `No problem!`" Pavlyuchenko, who has scored 14 times since signing from Spartak Moscow last August, also said that he would return to Russia the day after Tottenham`s final game of the season, away to Liverpool on May 24. Russia face Finland in a Group 4 World Cup qualifier on June 10, and Pavlyuchenko revealed he would use Spartak`s training facilities to stay in form before the tie.
