Russians will be able to buy credit story in large shopping centres soon. In particular, in a shops network Eldorado a person can already receive the file on himself "without leaving the cash desk". Cost of this services will be estimated at 800 roubles. The trading network itself together with National bureau of credit stories became the initiator of the project. According to a tentative estimation of organizers, 1 million persons are to take advantage of this service within two years, and the gain will make 22 million dollars. In case of project success National bureau of credit stories is ready to become the information partner for other companies which have become interested in cooperation. We remind that the concept of credit story appeared in Russia in 2005. Banks give all data on the possible borrower to the specially created databank. In turn bankers have an opportunity to learn the existing information about the person, his credits and paying capacity. Citizens are allowed to learn information about themselves free of charge once a year. For this purpose it is necessary to visit bureau personally or to make the letter of inquiry (certified by notary). Analyst at group of companies Region Alexey Shestakov considers the idea of "fast sales" of credit stories in shopping centres positive, but late at least for a year. "The boom of crediting has been sleeping for a long time already. Banks reluctantly give out credits. Accordingly there will be little clients willing to receive their own story. But the fact that there will appear possibility to learn and check up the data about themselves for the population which has little financial knowledge, is already good". However, experts are afraid that swindlers can take advantage of new service. A number of sites has recently appeared where clients are offered to get in some minutes their credit story. The given data is more often doubtful or irrelevant. A single way to check up truthfulness of some company - to find it in the accredited firms list on the Central Bank site. Artem Krasnov
