Thieves have made off with over 10 million rubles ($320,000) in cash from a local education department in Russia`s North Caucasus republic of Daghestan, local police said. The incident occurred on Saturday in the republic`s Shamilsky district. "Unidentified people broke entered the building in the village of Khebda, and after breaking down the door of the cash office, stole a safe containing over 10 million rubles in cash," a police official told RIA Novosti. The money was to be used to pay local teachers.
