The Governor of Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili showed Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine David Sakvarelidze as head of the regional Prosecutor's office.
Sakvarelidze is considered one of the key figures in the reform of law and order and combating crime in Georgia. In 2009 he was the first Deputy chief Prosecutor of Georgia - Tbilisi Prosecutor. In February 2015 Sakvarelidze received Ukrainian citizenship and was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, where he was engaged in the reform of the Prosecutor General.
