Saved the ISS from space debris
The international space station completed a successful maneuver that allowed her to evade space debris. As explained in the Roscosmos, the probability of disaster was high.

"Dangerous rapprochement of the station could take place on September 27 at 14:41 Moscow time. The probability of convergence was high", - is told in the news on the official website of Roscosmos. The maneuver was performed by mission control Center (MCC), the professionals evaluated the characteristics of the configuration of the orbit of the station flight, according to which in the normal mode has been performed evasive maneuvers.

Change the trajectory of the ISS was conducted 4 engine THC "Progress M-28M", their working time is equal 299 seconds. After configuring the path maximum altitude amounted 421,16 kilometers.

Note that the last few years professionals are increasingly forced to change the orbit of ISS in connection with space debris. So, in early July, space station narrowly escaped a conflict with a fragment of the Russian satellite "meteor", which promptly failed to change the experts from NASA. At the time, yet remained the danger of disaster, the station crew moved into docked her ship "the Union", but then returned to the ISS. In early June the station was promptly removed from the cob chip American satellite.

In early July this year, the professionals Space center Lyndon B. Johnson in Houston cited the data, according to which the Earth revolves around 16,925 thousand artificial objects. 3,917 thousand of them - working or broken satellites, 13,008 thousand - other artificial objects, including stage rockets, booster units, large fragments of space technology. To the best knowledge of professionals, after 50-60 years the level of pollution of circumterrestrial space can significantly complicate subsequent space activities.
