In Oslo announced the winner of the Nobel prize in Economics
In Oslo, on 12 October was declared the next winner of the Nobel prize in Economics. They became the Anglo-American economist Angus Deaton, whose work has made a significant contribution to the development of individual areas of micro - and macroeconomic doctrines.

In the capital of Sweden hosted the Nobel prize in Economics: in the current quarter, she went to Western scientist Angus Deaton. The jury noted the contribution of the researcher in the study of the processes associated with the use, poverty and well-being.

"His research revealed the main pitfalls in comparing poverty. He also demonstrated how the wise application of data on domestic use can shed light on issues such as the relationship between income and intake of calories, as well as the extent of discrimination on the symptom of the floor in the family", - stated in the press release of the Nobel Committee. The prize money in the current quarter is about a million dollars (8 million SEK).

Other candidates included in the short list of "nobelevku" on the economy, were mainly Western scholars. So, the Briton Richard Brandell investigated the labor market, consumer demand and political decisions. Also possible owners of the award was American scholar John a list (field research in Economics) and his compatriot Charles Mansky (financial analysis of social interactions), informs LifeNews. Last year the Nobel prize in Economics was awarded to Frenchman Jean Tyrol "his analysis of market power and regulation".
