Lady GaGa to Donate Concert Proceeds to Haiti Earthquake-Relief

Lady GaGa may have canceled four of her concerts due to exhaustion, but she has scheduled one in particular to support the Haiti Earthquake-Relief. On January 24, the 23-year-old singer will perform in her New York concert and all proceeds from the gig will go to the relief organizations helping the victims of Haitian Earthquake.

The "Poker Face" hitmaker first announced her intention on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on January 15. "I will say today that on the 24th, the Monster Ball [show] in New York City, all of the money that I make in ticket sales and merchandise will go to Haiti," she declared. "And on the 24th you can also go onto LadyGaga.com and any merchandise that you buy, the money will go to Haiti."

Following her announcement on "Oprah", the singer known for her outrageous stage act posted a series of tweets to spread her plan even further. "Jan 24th is GAGA FOR HELPING HAITI day," her first tweet read. "Go to www.ladygaga.com on the 24th + of all merchandise purchased goes to earthquake relief."

She then tweeted, "Monies will be donated immediately, spread the word around the world so we can raise as much money as possible." In her last tweet over the matter, she wrote, "Little monsters attending the Monsterball on the 24th: all ticket + and merch/cd profit will be donated. Save your money. Help save a life."

Lady GaGa was forced to cancel her performance in West Lafayette, Indiana on January 14 after experiencing shortness of breath and an accelerated heartbeat. Explaining the reason behind the cancellation, she tweeted, "Paramedics came to take care of me, and told me my heart-rate was irregular -- a result of exhaustion and dehydration. can`t apologize enough for how sorry I am."

Since then, GaGa canceled three more of her upcoming concert scheduled for January 16 to 18 to recover from the exhaustion. She previously revealed that the January 14 show has been rescheduled to January 26, while concert promoter Live Nation released statement that ticket holders for the weekend`s shows the will be fully refunded.
