Rescuers have pulled the body of a Russian man from rubble in the quake-hit Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince, Dominican newspaper Cuatriboliao has said.
"Nikolai Sukhomilin died during the earthquake in Haiti, while giving lectures at a university in Påtionville... His body was found under the debris and identified," the paper said on its website.
There has been no official confirmation of Sukhomilin`s death available.
A 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Haiti on Tuesday and almost leveled the country`s capital of Port-au-Prince. A number of aftershocks followed.
The most recent quake, measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale, was registered some 60 km (37 miles) to the south of Port-au-Prince late on Friday night.
According to the latest figures, some 140,000 were killed in the quake, 250,000 were injured, and more than 3 million have been left without shelter.
Some 30 Russians reportedly stayed in Haiti when the island was struck by the earthquake. Citizens of more than 20 countries were reported among those dead or missing.
More than 1,800 international rescuers are working in the quake-struck area. According to the United Nations, more than 70 people have been pulled alive from rubble.
The Mexican Foreign Ministry reported on Sunday the head of the Haiti president`s guard was found alive under the debris of the presidential palace destroyed by the quake.
