President Vladimir Putin is convinced that the nation will succeed if the society will move to it together. Now Russia says about itself as a powerful independent state, with common goals and values.
Russia is fully able to overcome all kinds of obstacles on the way to triumph, if society soberly assess the scale of the task and will work for power. With this opinion the President of Russia Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin in his annual address to the Federal Assembly.
The head of the country reminded that not so long ago, the nation passed another major milestone when reunited with the Crimea. "Russia in a loud voice announced himself as a powerful independent government with a thousand years history and famous traditions, a nation that is consolidated joint values and shared purposes," he said.
"So confident are we and at the moment when Russia conducts an open, straight fight against international terrorism", stressed the President. "We make decisions and put them into practice, realizing that to cope with the tasks can only be ourselves. But only together," he declared.
Vladimir Putin announced that Russia long ago is on the forefront of the fight against terror. He recalled that the nation faced from international terrorism in the mid 90-ies. "This tragedy claimed thousands of lives. It is a sorrow that will forever with us, with the country with family and friends innocently lost planet", - he stressed.
In 10 years of fighting turned out to "break the backbone" of terrorism inside power, but now the main threat comes from Syria, where the militants of the "Islamic state" a lot of immigrants from Russia and other CIS countries. According to the President, if the insurgents get stronger and win there, we will be in our country.
"We have to meet them and to destroy on distant approaches. That's why it was decided to military operations on the basis of official request of the legitimate, legitimate Syrian government. And in Syria, our Armed forces are fighting first and foremost for the Russian Federation, defend the security of our people", - Putin said.
