Punishment Russia will cost Turkey $9 billion
The Turkish government has estimated that material damage from the Russian sanctions will be around 9 billion $. Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet е?imе?ek expressed his hope that the dialogue between Ankara and Moscow all the same will get better.

The Turkish government has calculated what consequences for the Russian powers of punishment. As noted by Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Simsek, "worst cast scenario" Ankara will lose about 9 billion dollars, reports TASS.

"We consider Russia our main partner and do not want tensions. From the very first days of the crisis we discussed all the details and was prepared to take steps if Russia and will not go further on the dialogue. In the worst case scenario, Turkey will lose about 9 billion $. It is of the order of 0.3-0.4% of our GDP," he said.

He expressed the hope that the conversation between Moscow and Ankara would be restored. And yet, е?imе?ek said that the government had already devised measures to reduce the dependence of Turkey on Russia in the energy sphere. I sent proposals to the Prime Minister. The number of travelers (from Russia) fell to 603 thousand, there is a slowdown in the construction and Contracting sector," he added.

Remember, the relationship between Ankara and Moscow became severe after 24 November, the Turkish F-16 shot down in Syria Russian bomber su-24. From 1 January 2016, Russia has banned the importation from Turkey of certain goods, abolished visa-free regime and have imposed limits on the hiring of people of this country.
