In the Alps the passengers stuck on the cable car
In the Alps ended the operation to rescue passengers of a cable car. More than 100 people were trapped at an altitude of almost 4 km.

A trip on the funicular railway through the scenic Alpine highlands, these tourists will never forget. In a cold cabin at an altitude of almost 4 km, many of them spent 10 hours. The accident at the cable car, which connects peaks of mountain of the Mont Blanc massif occurred the day before.

On the lift intertwined steel cables. For evacuation of passengers used emergency services in France, Switzerland and Italy. With the help of winches on Board rescue helicopters lifted more than 60 people. By nightfall, the evacuation by air was stopped.

Rescuers brought the remaining cabins people blankets, food and water. Night from stuck funicular rescued another 12 people. They descended to the glacier. Early morning problems on the funicular eliminated, passengers were finally able to leave the cabin where we spent the night.
