IT`S no secret that BRITNEY SPEARS loves a nice firm body... when it comes to cars.

And the pop babe couldn`t hide her kid-in-a-candy-shop excitement as she laid eyes on her latest purchase - a Maserati GT.

Britney was all childlike glee and shiny teeth as she picked up her new motor in LA, and didn`t even notice the cooling effect of a brisk westerly.

She splashed out a tidy ?100,000 on the sporty vehicle, not that she appeared overly steeped in financial guilt over her extravagance.

Then again, Brit doesn`t really live in the wheel world...
