The Hollywood couple were amazed to read about an eight-seat aircraft which is taking everyday people into space later this year. The venture is being run by Paul Allen, who founded Microsoft with Bill Gates, and businessman Richard Branson. The pair plan to jet people into the atmosphere in the specially-built Virgin Galactic spacecraft, which will set off from New Mexico.
Angelina and Brad were determined to get involved when they read about the proposal, with Angelina quick to track down Paul for a meeting. "Angelina was extremely excited and told Paul she had to be on the flight," a source explained to National Enquirer magazine. "Even though 80,000 people have applied for seats, Paul said he?d make it happen for her."
Tickets for the ride cost $200,000 each, but the couple have decided it is money well spent due to the stunning views of Earth they have been promised.
However, Angelina has asked Brad if they can go on different expeditions. Although she is certain everything will be fine, she wants to ensure one of them is available to stay home with the six children they raise together.
