The Russian foreign Ministry has angrily rejected allegations that his chief diplomat in Washington, the spy, amid the controversy over the meetings which he had held with the United States attorney General Jeff Sessom. CNN reported Wednesday that the Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, according to American intelligence, is one of the best spies of Russia in Washington, citing current and former senior officials of the US government. The press Secretary of the Ministry of foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova insisted that Kislyak "is well-known, world-class diplomat." She added: "He was Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia, who was in contact with American colleagues for many decades in various fields". Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, Zakharova called media reports about meetings between the Prosecutor and the dubious, like "shame" as "an attempt on the complete misinformation" and kind of "vandalism". Zakharova also defended the role of Russian diplomats, saying: "Everyone knows how the diplomats, and their work consists of making contacts." In response to a request to respond to the characteristics Kislyak as a spy, press Secretary of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov said: "Nobody heard any statements from representatives of the American special services" in relation to our Ambassador. Peskov also insisted that Russia has never interfered in the internal Affairs of another country and is not going to do that.
