Russian travelers went on an expedition "Baikal-Alaska"
Russian travelers went on an expedition "Baikal-Alaska" along the legendary way of the Siberian merchants. This is the first expedition for 150 years.

The expedition "Baikal-Alaska" started from Irkutsk and will last for 3 months. All this time, the catamaran will be for participants and the means of transportation and a place to sleep. 11 thousand km of the route. Of which 300 km is walking distance. Today, the overcoming of the Angara river and out in the open Baikal as a workout. They plan to finish the first stage in the North of the lake. Then travellers expect numerous rivers, sea and ocean.

In a dead calm they will move with the motor and with the right wind direction will spread their sails. This is the route of the Siberian merchants. The participants of the expedition "Baikal-Alaska" first, who in the last 150 years decided to overcome the way from Irkutsk to Alaska, the entrance to the mid-nineteenth century to the Irkutsk province. For expedition every Internet user will be able to follow online. According to scientists, the catamaran and its crew will become a new page in the history of the world travels.
