The UK authorities are developing an analogue of the so-called American "Magnitsky law" providing for penalties against Russian officials, informs Telegraph. in the British version of the document will include 49 Russian citizens, whom the English Authorities suspected of human rights violations, extrajudicial executions and torture. It is planned that they will ban entry and freeze assets. according to the newspaper, London has planned this move even before the conflict with the poisoning of ex-GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal and his daughter, which the English officials associated with Moscow, despite the lack of any evidence. Former GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia on March 4, was found unconscious in the centre of Salisbury. By assumption, the Scotland Yard, it was attempted murder with use of a nerve agent. in Russia Skripal was sentenced to 13 years sentence for his work for the British intelligence service MI-6. In 2010 Moscow traded it among other spies in deported from the US for Russian citizens. Then the ex-GRU officer was granted asylum in the UK. The Magnitsky act is valid in the US since 2012. It provides for penalties concerning Russian citizens relevant, in the opinion of the American state, for human rights violations. In October last year a law came into force in Canada, and in November the document was released, the Parliament of Lithuania.
