The state Duma passed the message About the illegality of the ban of Latvia education in the languages of national minorities in the school facility. the deputies make proposal to impose Riga punishment. As stressed by elected officials, the actions of the Latvian authorities violate the rights and freedoms of Russian-speaking Residents and must lead to the limits provided for by the Federal legislation " On special economic measures ". in such action the law involves a partial or complete ban of financial transactions, rectification of customs duties, restriction of tourism, termination or suspension of international trade agreements and other external economic agreements. the statement also noted that Latvia, as a member of the European Union and the Council of Europe violates the principles that keep the vast majority of civilized countries. According to the draft statement the state Duma, the Latvian authorities are acting in defiance of mutual respect, understanding and cooperation among all people living within the country, irrespective of their national, cultural or linguistic background.
