The movie stars Bradley Cooper, Stu Price, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha and Heather Graham, and tells the story of a group of men who go to Las Vegas for a stag night. The film is up for the coveted best movie prize, with Alice In Wonderland, Avatar, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and The Twilight Saga: New Moon also vying for the accolade.
Zach is nominated in the best breakout star category, and will battle it out with Anna Kendrick for Up in the Air, Chris Pine for Star Trek, Gabourey Sidibe in Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire, Logan Lerman in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Quinton Aaron for his performance in The Blind Side.
Zach is also up for the best comedic performance prize, with his co-star Bradley Cooper also receiving a nomination. Ben Stiller`s performance in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian won him a mention, along with Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock, both for The Proposal.
The movie`s final two nods are in the best villain and best WTF moment categories.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Avatar each won five nominations. Twilight star Kristen Stewart could take home the best female trophy, with Amanda Seyfried, Emma Watson, Sandra Bullock and Zoe Saldana also in the running.
Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Zac Efron are all up for the best male prize.
The highly anticipated best kiss accolade sees Kristen Stewart get two mentions. She is nominated for her smooch with Robert Pattinson in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and for her lip-locking moment with Dakota Fanning in The Runaways.
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Johnny Depp and Daniel Radcliffe are all vying for the new global superstar prize.
The MTV Movie Awards will take place on June 6 in Los Angeles, with the ceremony hosted by comedian Aziz Ansari. The prizes are voted for by movie fans.
