The British comedian has been treated for sex addiction in the past, and has been open about the amount of women he has slept with. Russell says at one point he hired people to help him find pretty girls, explaining he would give them a set brief and expect them to locate someone who matched it. "When I was at my most promiscuous, I was like a charging locomotive. My selection process was outsourced," he told the June issue of Playboy magazine. "I had a team of experts who took care of finding women for me. They had very specific instructions. It was as if I was talking to a wine steward - `I`m looking for something French, a bit fruity, smells of oak.` " The 34-year-old added getting help for his problem wasn’t as glamorous as many people seem to think. He found sex rehab incredibly difficult as it was full of the kind of people he hopes to never see again. "The majority of people in sex rehab are just disgusting men. There aren`t hot blondes ripping off their clothes and saying, `I`m gorgeous, and I just can`t get enough!` It`s just sleazy men pleasuring themselves in dark corners," he explained. "Let`s not shy away from it: they`re paedophiles and perverts. I`m sorry if I burst your bubble and took some of the magic out of it." Russell proposed to pop star Katy Perry on New Year’s Eve last year after a whirlwind romance. They are currently planning their wedding, and Russell couldn’t be happier. The star says falling in love has totally changed him. He now realises how "pointless and futile" sleeping with a lot of women is, and is glad to have found his perfect partner. Katy is understanding about his past, with Russell previously saying he tells her he was just "thorough" while looking for his dream woman. Russell has also received treatment for drug addiction in the past.
