The largest in contemporary history of Russia military exercises "Vostok-2018" was launched in the far East, informs Department of information and mass communications of the Ministry of defence. "Vostok-2018" will take place from eleven to 17 September under the leadership of defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to the far East and adjacent Pacific areas. The maneuvers will be the largest in the last 37 years, they employ almost 300 thousand soldiers, more than 1,000 aircraft, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles, to 36 thousand vehicles, up to 80 ships and support ships.
