Simon was found unconscious at the Hollywood Hills home he shared with Brittany`s mother Sharon. Sharon is believed to have found him passed out in the master bedroom at 9.30pm, and immediately called emergency services. Simon was pronounced dead shortly after paramedics arrived at the scene. It has been reported efforts were made to resuscitate him, but he died of cardiac arrest. "We have detectives at the scene," Sergeant Louie Lozano said. "They are conducting their investigation. Once we have further information, we will provide it." Further details of Simon`s death remain unknown. Brittany, 32, died in December, after collapsing at the Los Angeles home. It was later found she had died of pneumonia, anaemia and multiple-drug intoxication. None of the drugs found in her system were illegal, they were over-the counter prescription drugs with several used to treat colds or respiratory infections. Simon gave several interviews after his wife passed, blaming Hollywood for causing her death. He insisted she had been left bereft by rumours she had a drug problem and eating disorder, and had struggled to get work as movie bosses believed the claims. He also admitted struggling to come to terms with her death, saying he couldn`t understand why she had died so young.
