The European Parliament adopted a resolution against the construction of "Nord stream - 2"

"Nord stream - 2" involves the construction of 2 gas thread with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters per year off the coast of Russia through the Baltic sea to Germany.
Permission for construction was issued by Germany, Finland and Sweden. It remains to obtain the agreement of Denmark.
Against the implementation of the project was made by the Ukraine - because of fears of losing revenues from gas transit from Russia to the European Union and the United States, promoting plans to export its LNG. About the political orientation of the project also stated Latvia, Poland and Lithuania.
Moscow many times urged to accept the pipeline as a tool of influence.
