Hotel chain Hilton Worldwide has signed an agreement to open five new hotels in Russia by 2014, Hilton`s Russia and CIS Business Director Vladimir Ilyichev said at the Adam Smith Insitute "Real Estate in Russia" summit on Wednesday.
The firm already has two hotels in Russia, the Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya and a hotel in Perm.
"In the third quarter of this year we also expect to open two hotels, one under the Doubletree by Hilton brand in Novosibirsk and a 379 room Hilton in Gelendzhik," he said.
Hilton also plans to open two Hilton Garden Inn hotels in Sochi by 2012. The firm will also open a 224 room Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Perm by 2013.
The number of hotels in Russia under the Hilton brand could grow, if talks with investors and developers are successful, Ilyichev said.
Hilton Worldwide is one of the largest hotel chains in the world, with over 3500 hotels in 81 countries.
