the paper reported that in the period from 2014 to 2018, the Russian Federation supplied weapons in 48 countries. The main importers of Russian arms were India, China and Algeria. India remains a major buyer of weapons from Russia, however in 2009 the volume of purchases fell by 42 percent, and imports to Venezuela for the same period decreased by 96 %.
