The soccer player - who is married to former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham - is the inspiration behind new project `Fame: David Beckham` which will document his rise to superstardom. Peter Rogers, the writer of the comic, said: "Working on the Beckham book was quite different from any other comic I`ve worked on to date. "Telling someone`s real life story was quite a challenge, and I tried to find as many ways as possible to ensure that it was visually interesting and not just a case of, `he did this, and then he did that`." The comic will also feature David`s influence on the fashion world, with his numerous style changes and haircuts through the years documented. David, 35, will be the first sports star to feature in publisher Bluewater`s `Fame` series. Other stars to have been transformed into comic book characters by the publishers include Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Robert Pattinson and Hillary Clinton. `Fame: David Beckham` will go on sale this September via website www.amazon.com.
