A court in Sweden has upheld the decision of the Stockholm arbitration on the dispute between Lithuania and Gazprom on the terms of gas purchases from Russia. for example, rejected the requirement to recover from "Gazprom" about half a billion euros, and the price of gas, which the Russian Firm has supplied from 2006 to 2015, the Lithuanian Lietuvos Dujos, considered fair. Lithuania will be obliged to pay Russian organizations for all court costs. The Ministry of energy of Lithuania filed a lawsuit against Gazprom to the arbitration Institute at the chamber of Commerce of Stockholm, 3 October 2012. Vilnius said that the Russian Firm had violated the joint agreement with Lietuvos Dujos, setting fair prices for gas supplied to Lithuania, and asked in a persistent form to compensate for five billion litas (approximately 1, 4 billion euros at the time). "Gazprom" with the requirement not agreed. in June 2016 the arbitration Institute at the chamber of Commerce of Stockholm refused Lithuania in monetary compensation. In the autumn of the same year, the Ministry of energy of Lithuania appealed to the Court of appeals a petition to annul the arbitration decision. in June 2017, "Gazprom" has submitted feedback on the petition, Lithuania submitted a written opinion on the case in October.
