Yevkurov also awarded the rank of Lieutenant General.
The decree entered into force on the day of signing.
By another decree of the Ministry of defence are allowed to have 12 Deputy Ministers, and among them the first 2.
Yunus-Bek Yevkurov has headed Ingushetia since October 30, 2008. He announced his intention to ask the President about his resignation June 24. In a televised address to residents of the Republic Yevkurov explained his decision by the fragmentation of power, public and religious organizations in the area.
The President has accepted the resignation of Yevkurov and appointed acting head of the region Mahmud Ali Kalimatov.
The former head of Republic tried to persuade his countrymen to rally around Kalimatov.
