The King of Pop died one year ago today of acute Propofol intoxication by intravenous injection of another. To mark the first anniversary of his death, auction company Julien`s is planning a huge sale of possessions belonging to the `King of Pop`, which will take place in Las Vegas tomorrow.
Among the items set to go under the hammer is an ornate gold brocade living room set Michael hand-selected for the British mansion he was renting for the duration of his planned This Is It London residency last July. The star paid $200,000 for the pieces, but they are expected to go for over $1 million.
Gossip website TMZ has reported that Mariah has ordered her interior designer Kenneth Bordewick to purchase the set for her Los Angeles mansion.
Proceeds from the auction, minus commissions, will go to Michael`s estate.
