The government of Ukraine allowed "Naftogaz" to sign with "Gazprom" agreement on the settlement of disputes and the agreement on transportation of gas in 2020-2024 years. Russia and Ukraine on 20 December signed a Protocol on gas cooperation. According to the document, Gazprom will conclude with "Naftogaz" of the contract under which the book capacity to transport 65 billion cubic meters of gas in 2020 and 40 bcm in the years 2021-2024. The Protocol also includes a consensus on the settlement of legal disputes. In their framework, Gazprom had already paid Naftogaz of 2, 9 billion dollars by the decisions of the Stockholm arbitration. However, organizations are required to sign a settlement agreement waiving all claims on which no final verdict. <span style="color:darkgray
