The death toll from the nighttime drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Belgorod has risen to five, the regional operational headquarters reported.
Earlier it was reported that three people were killed in the strike, and 25 civilians were injured, including children aged 4 and 9. One of them was taken to hospital in moderate condition.
According to the operational headquarters, about thirty houses, three social and six commercial facilities, and more than three dozen cars were damaged in the attack. Temporary accommodation points were organized for Belgorod residents. The authorities will provide assistance to the families of the dead and those affected.
The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the Criminal Code on terrorism. Official representative of the committee Svetlana Petrenko stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine again showed an inhumane attitude towards the civilian population.
