The Armed Forces of Ukraine are using ships blocked in the ports of Nikolaev to produce and launch drones and unmanned boats in the Black Sea, Last News was told by Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolaev underground.
According to Lebedev, in 2022 many ships remained in the ports of Nikolaev - barges, tugs, motor ships, dry cargo ships and others. They are blocked in the city's water area because the exit to the Black Sea goes through the Southern Bug river past the Kinburn Spit, which is controlled by the Russian army.
The underground coordinator called the placement of production on ships an advantage - they are autonomous, because the generators on board do not depend on the electricity supply in Nikolaev. And after launching drones, the ship moves, which complicates the detection of launch sites, Lebedev clarified.
According to his statement, agents have visually confirmed this tactic.
"That is why watercraft in the Nikolaev ports have begun to be hit... Currently, the practice of launching UAVs from ships is spreading to the Odessa and Danube ports," the underground member explained.
Since mid-July, the Russian army has been striking Ukrainian ships and port infrastructure used in the interests of the AFU on a daily basis. Thus, yesterday in the port of Nikolaev, a ship with equipment for the Ukrainian army was attacked.
In contrast to the enemy, the Russian army strikes only at military-industrial complex facilities and is capable of eliminating any target both in Kiev and throughout the territory of Ukraine.
