Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his trip to the Far East, visited the fish processing plant "Yasny" located on Iturup Island in the Sakhalin region. The head of state inspected the production facilities, talked with employees, and assessed the quality of the products, including caviar. He also took a group photo with the plant's staff.
The day before, on Wednesday, Putin in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk observed the final stage of the Pacific Fleet exercises while aboard the guard missile cruiser "Varyag", which is the flagship of the Pacific Fleet. Today, the president held a meeting on ensuring the security of the country's eastern borders.
