The Russian Defense Ministry stated that during the day Russian troops struck a storage facility with weapons and military equipment of Ukrainian formations located in the port of Yuzhny. According to the ministry, high-precision air-based weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles were used to hit the target.
The statement clarifies that the warehouse with weapons, military equipment, and property of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed. In addition, among the affected objects was a fuel and lubricants tank in the port of Odesa.
The Defense Ministry emphasized that the Russian army, unlike the enemy, strikes exclusively at military objects and is capable of destroying any target both in Kyiv and throughout the territory of Ukraine.
Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik explained that the Armed Forces of Ukraine use the sea route as a round-the-clock channel for delivering weapons. According to him, over three years, about eight thousand ships with military cargo passed through the Odesa ports, which explains the attacks on these objects.
