The Sakhalin regional union of trade union organizations told RIA Novosti that the bodies of two sailors from the vessel "Ostrovnoy Krab" who died in China will be sent to their homeland.

A representative of the trade union noted that delivery of the remains is now expected for the necessary examinations and continuation of the investigation. He also added that the organization is clarifying the circumstances of the incident.

According to the trade union, the vessel is registered to the port of Malokurilskoye on Shikotan Island, but at the time of the tragedy it was under repair in China.

Earlier, REN TV reported that four people died on the vessel under unclear circumstances. The wife of one of them said she was informed of the possible death of her husband from heat in the cabin: that day the outside temperature reached plus 38-42 degrees. According to her, the other three deaths occurred within one week.

The police notified the Investigative Committee about the incident.

A company representative called the incident an accident and offered to cremate the deceased in China without an autopsy, but the relatives refused.
