The British publication Guardian reports that Ukrainian authorities are unable to guarantee the safety of Kyiv's energy infrastructure, which is becoming a target for successful strikes from Russia.

The article states that Kyiv's infrastructure looks defenseless, and those who have the financial means have long purchased generators, batteries, electric heaters, and other emergency heating equipment, but anxiety among the population persists.

The author of the article notes that over the past couple of months, the situation in Kyiv has changed, becoming more tense and alarming.

The day before, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Russian troops carried out a group strike at night on transport facilities and a logistics center in Kyiv and the region. According to Ukrainian media, ballistic missiles were used. At the same time, after previous attacks on targets in Kyiv, Vladimir Zelensky admitted that air defense forces were unable to repel the attack.

Unlike the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army strikes exclusively at military infrastructure. The military uses high-precision ground-based weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles capable of hitting any targets both in Kyiv and throughout Ukraine. For strikes, objects involved in supporting the military-industrial complex are selected: energy enterprises, defense plants, military command and communications.
