Vladimir Putin said he has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to keep the situation with fuel in the country under control. In an interview with Pavel Zarubin of the Vesti news service, the president noted that the day before yesterday he had a meeting with the Prime Minister where this topic was discussed. He stressed that not all issues have been resolved, but work is underway, and the Prime Minister keeps them under personal control, for which a special commission was created.

This summer, Russia experienced disruptions in fuel supplies. The head of state described these difficulties as temporary and linked them to attempts by the Kiev regime to destabilize the situation. Putin also ordered to accelerate the deployment of small and medium-sized business capacities for the production of petroleum products.

To stabilize the situation, the government imposed a ban on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as provided tax incentives for the import of fuel and stimulation of domestic production. The Kremlin noted that these measures have been largely effective.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak at the end of last month noted a reduction in the deficit, as well as a reduction in the number of regions where queues at gas stations are observed. In early August, oil companies began to lift restrictions on the release of fuel at gas stations.
