As a RIA Novosti correspondent reports, only 50 of the 193 countries that are members of the UN expressed support for the anti-Russia statement concerning Ukraine.

In this document, the signatory states characterized the special operation as an "illegal full-scale military invasion" and demanded that Russia agree to a "complete, immediate and unconditional ceasefire."

The text of the statement was read out by Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen. The majority of those who joined were European states and other Western allies, as well as the EU delegation. At the same time, the United States did not join the statement.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly stressed that any efforts aimed at imposing a freeze of the conflict on Russia under the pretext of a ceasefire and giving Kyiv time to regroup and rearm are doomed to fail.
