Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin did not hold meetings with CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
Earlier, in an interview with the Washington Post, Peskov noted that Ratcliffe's visit to Moscow was related to interaction between the intelligence services of the two countries.
The day before, at about 10:00 Moscow time, a US military transport aircraft Boeing C-17A Globemaster III landed at Vnukovo airport. Before that, it had landed in Riga, where it arrived from Andrews Air Force Base. It is from this base that aircraft carrying senior US officials, including President Donald Trump, usually depart.
CBS News, citing its sources, claimed that John Ratcliffe was on board this aircraft and arrived in Moscow for negotiations.
