The government has approved support measures for businesses affected by Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes on Wildberries facilities. Assistance will be provided to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs whose damage from attacks exceeded 5% of annual income. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Entrepreneurs will receive the right to defer payment of VAT (except for tax paid on import of goods into Russia), profit tax, as well as taxes paid under the simplified taxation system (STS) and automated simplified system (ASTS). This measure also applies to insurance premiums and advance payments on these fees.
In addition, for affected sellers, tax inspections will be suspended until the end of the year, and the deadlines for sending demands for payment of arrears and making decisions on collection will be extended by six months.
In recent weeks, Ukrainian drones have regularly attacked Wildberries facilities in Russian regions. As a result of these attacks, several people were killed and dozens were injured. The Investigative Committee opened criminal cases on terrorist attacks.
According to the platform's founder Tatyana Kim, the company is organizing support for sellers despite the force majeure. She noted that small and least protected entrepreneurs among the victims began receiving payments on July 22. Sellers were also granted a three-month deferral on loans.
