During a telephone conversation, Vladimir Putin and Syria's transitional president Ahmed al-Sharaa discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations.
The sides stressed the importance of the memorandum concerning the reorganization of the Khmeimim airbase and the logistics point in Tartus.
In addition, the leaders expressed mutual intention to deepen political dialogue and expand cooperation. Putin reaffirmed support for the unity, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of Syria.
